Growth is Beautiful—But Don’t Lose the Soul of Your Mission
When Grace to Grow Mentorship & Training first began, it was just me leading twelve sessions over three months, front and centre, connecting deeply with mentees as their walls came down and their pain surfaced, ready for release. The transformation was real, powerful, and personal. I grew right alongside them, watching guarded hearts find the freedom to heal.
Now, Grace to Grow spans continents—from Jamaica to Africa and beyond! Teams of advisors, facilitators, and project leaders keep everything humming along—sometimes without me even showing up. It’s proof that strong systems and great teams do scale vision across borders.
But here’s the truth: growth comes with trade-offs. I miss the close connection, seeing those transformational “aha” moments up close. The work is bigger, but the core heartbeat—the messy, beautiful breakthroughs—is what truly drives me. To every founder, mentor, or leader evolving beyond your beginnings, never lose sight of your WHY.

Lead with Personal Connection: In the early days, hands-on involvement lays the groundwork and proves your model works. Don’t rush to scale before you savour a good group hug (virtual or otherwise).
Embrace the Shift: You’ll eventually shift from chief doer to chief architect—putting systems in place so others can shine. Translation: Your name is still everywhere, but sometimes your video isn’t.
Acknowledge the Trade-Off: Scaling means you won’t always witness the magic firsthand. Admit it, mourn it, and then celebrate how many more lives you’re impacting!
Stay True to Your “Why”: Whether it’s three people or three hundred, keep the soul of your mission at the centre. The “why” is always more valuable than the “how many.”
