Show Notes:
To break the ice, I asked Gila “If someone made a movie of your life would it be a drama, a comedy, a romantic-comedy, action film, or science fiction?”
Her response, “That’s a great question. I’m going to have to say Action Film because I’m always on the go and am an active person”. Sounds a bit like me, I must say.
We went on to talking about the Dog business, ‘Life Is Good’ and the inspiration behind it.
Some questions I asked Gila throughout the interview are:
- What is ‘Dog is Good’?
- When did the business begin?
- What inspired you to start your dog business?
- What has the journey been like since you started?
- What are some of the questions that must be answered when you are thinking of collaborating with another entrepreneur?
- What are some of the lessons that a dog can actually teach us?
- How did you accomplish being in the top 25 women in the pet industry?
- What advice can you give to those wanting to become entrepreneurs?
Main Take-Aways:
When you are chasing a dream, a vision, you go at it with a level of energy that drive yourself every day, because you expect to get there.
When a student is ready to learn, the teacher will appear. They are so many lessons dogs provide us on a regular basis.
It is important to be able to compartmentalize your life to make the right decisions as it relates to business, personal and other areas of your life.
