Every November for 1 week, there are thousands of events and competitions in close to 200 countries to inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. This is to observe Global Entrepreneurship Week. I’ve reached out to 4 women entrepreneurs from 3 countries to share their challenges as women in business – Georgina Terry, Brittany Rose, Jade Lee & Lisandra Rickards.
Show Notes:
Imagine a conversation with 4 talented, successful and beautiful women on the subject of challenges that women are faced with as they set sail on the entrepreneurial vessel as it were.
With varying backgrounds and one major goal i.e. to make a positive impact in their country, they share with me through the lens of their first hand experience.
Georgina Terry: “I don’t see myself a woman entrepreneur therefore I don’t see myself through that lens”.
Jade Lee: “Being a women in business in Jamaica is a little bit unique. Jamaican men can be a little bit overpowering”.
Brittany Rose: “The same thing that is most challenging is also my biggest asset and that is my industry”.
Lisandra Rickards: “Women are taught culturally here not to be too loud or too brash. Extroverted women get bashed more than extroverted men”.
There is so much to learn from these women. Listen to this week’s edition of The Entrepreneurial You podcast for some hard facts and interesting perspective as they share their major challenges.
