“Expectations are infinite; time is finite, you are always choosing, choose well” – Laura Vanderkam.
You are always choosing what to give your attention to. This conversation is sparked by Laura’s Ted Talk, “Proven Strategies Really Successful People Use to Manage Their Time” Can we really manage time or do we manage ourselves to manage time? It really is about taking a holistic view on time.
Do you have a grip on how you are managing your time? Effective time-management is about setting intentions about where you want to spend your time.
You need to figure out where our time is going. Once you’ve done that, evaluate to determine if it is taking you closer to where you want to be.
Laura and I covered a lot on this episode of The Entrepreneurial You. Some of the questions include:
- What is effective time management?
- Would you consider effective time management the foundation for success in business?
- What about those who are great at what they do but can’t seem to get a handle on this time thing?
- What’s the importance of effective time management?
- Listen to this episode to learn how the really successful people manage their time.
- I’d love to hear from you. Let me hear your time management strategies.
TOP TIP:
Try tracking your time for a week to see where your time is going. Make adjustments where necessary.
