Communication is the bottom line
“You need to embrace the reality of firing someone and that can be someone that you are working with as a part of your team or it can be your clients. When each of these situations present themselves, I approach it the way that I did my old corporate job. I was in the corporate world for almost 20 years and supervised teams ranging from 30 to 40 people at a peak. My main core that I had was around 8 people. My approach to that was always when there was a problem, whether it was an employee or a client, sit down with that person and identify and talk about the problem. It comes back to communication.”
