Turning Point
“We were very successful early on and when I turned 40 years old we had just completed our second business and I was on my way to the office. This was August 1, 2001 so it has been eighteen (18) years ago now that this happened.
On my way to the office, a pedestrian was crossing the street to catch a local bus and didn’t look my way and I ran over and killed him on my way to the office. It radically changed the paradigm of my life. It really made me think through life differently.
In my book, “View From the Top”, I talk about this being I was blind-sided. I never saw this coming. I was praying, “God, why would this happen to me; my two beautiful children, my home, my great business. I feel like I am doing the right things and out of nowhere I get this left hook. I never saw that coming.”
