Show  Notes:

In this week’s episode, we discuss a topic dear to us at the Entrepreneurial You Podcast, podcasting and the concept of being a guest on podcasts, otherwise known as podguesting, with podcast publicity coach Millette Jones.

The best way to start with leveraging interviews and being a guest on a podcast, according to Millette, is:

  • Start with a solid foundation. Have a good website that’s updated and contemporary. Also have consistent branding across all the different internet platforms and social media sites.
  • Go ahead and reach out to those podcasts hosts on social media and start making connections there because you never know where those connections will lead to down the road. We always want to be open to making connections in any way that we can as business people.
  • Go into iTunes and browse to the bottom for related podcast suggestions and reach out to the hosts of those podcasts.
  • Think of a peer in your industry and Google their name plus podcast interviews then approach the host of those podcasts to be a guest on their show.

Listen to this insightful episode of the Entrepreneurial You Podcast to hear more on this and Millette’s suggestions on how to effectively pitch to be a guest on a podcast.
